An idle thought the other day led to a spontaneous thread on Twitter. It proved quite popular so when someone unrolled it using threadreaderapp, I thought it would be good to share it here for a bit more permanence.
The idle thought I had was "why are humans asymmetrical - and why do we almost all choose the same asymmetry?" The answer was way more interesting than I had anticipated.
After posting, a couple of responders recommended Right Hand, Left Hand by Chris McManus (Latin speakers will appreciate his name) which I bought and am a couple of chapters in. Fascinating - exactly the kind of thing I was after.
